Join Our Farm-ily

Community is very important to us. We participate in and help to run local groups and organizations because that is what draws us all together. In the same spirit, we want you to join our farm family (our Farm-ily). You can do this through a special partnership called Community Supported Agriculture (CSA). CSA creates a relationship between the farm-ily member and the farmer where you can receive a weekly package of fresh mushrooms from our farm.
Picture yourself receiving your weekly bundle of farm fresh mushrooms. You anticipate opening it, wondering which kind(s) will be arriving this week. Will it be Gray Dove or Lion’s Mane grown on the farm, or are the Shitake logs fruiting this week? Perhaps the King Stropharia bed is in bloom, or could it be a variety foraged from the woods? You eagerly open your package to reveal this week’s delights. Yeah, it is that good.
CSA works similar to a subscription, like the boxes you can order on-line and receive monthly, but it's even better. Like a subscription, you pay an upfront cost in exchange for weekly packages of fresh mushrooms. Like a subscription, you receive a discounted price in exchange for this longer-term commitment. But that is where the similarities end.
By joining our CSA, you are becoming part of our farm-ily, which comes with additional benefits. Farm-ily members have first priority to mushrooms grown or foraged on our farm and have special access to varieties that might not be available for general sale. You will be the first to try out new varieties of mushrooms and new methods for cultivation. You will receive our newsletter with updates on the farm, the family and community. Farm-ily members get special pricing on certain on-line store items and on future CSA memberships that are not available to the general public. Also, you will be invited to a private on-farm experience available only to CSA members.
Shared reward does come with shared risk. Although we are committed to providing quality mushrooms on a weekly basis, farming is always an ‘at risk’ endeavor. When you join our farm-ily, you assume part of that risk in that if a crop does not meet our standards for sale and distribution, it will not be included in the weekly package. If this is the case, a package may be delayed or contain less than the specified weight of the product. If this ever appears to be likely, we will communicate the change to each affected farm-liy member ahead of time, and correct the shortage or delay with additional product in future packages.
